Child friendly Garda Lake

 

Garda Lake is the largest lake in Italy and was believed to be settled in 2000 BC.  It is a veritable children’s fantasy land of pedaloes, rowboats, cable cars and ferries to ride.  The lake even has some sandy or pebble beaches on the foreshores of several lake front resorts, with a plethora of mountains overflowing with wildlife in the surrounding area.

 

Haul the kids into a family taxi that is equipped with car booster seats, baby seats or whatever seats your family require and head to one of the many theme parks perched on the lakefront at Peschiera.  Number one on the hit list for the children should be Gardaland, with so many attractions and shows that the kids wont know where to go first.  The water rides and slides can be found at Acqua waterpark, as well as an adventure island for the kids to go mad on. 

 

There are chair lifts for the kids to swing their legs on and cable cars zooming up mountainsides to get amazing views. Or, visit the safari park at Parco Natura Viva with a walk through the dinosaur section just for kids. You can take the children swimming in one of the hundreds of natural deep blue water pools, roam through a medieval castle or visit the Roman Arena in Verona for a taste of gladiator life. The "kid list" is endless.
