Child friendly Marbella

 

When in Marbella the must try national dish is "boquerones fritos", which translates into whitebait fritters. Even the kids will love these finger-licking more than a mouthful delights.  Just tell them it is the Spanish version of fish fingers, if they start to screw up their little noses and tempt them with the promise of a serve of "churros y chocolate".  Now this, the children will love, as it is fried dough pastry sprinkled with sugar and served with lashings of chocolate sauce to dunk them in.

 

On the beach at Marbella the kids can have a laugh at the elephant shaped shower whilst they wash off their sandy salty bodies. Visit the flagship zoo with the children in tow that is based on the premise of respecting nature, Fuengirola Bio Park. Let the little ones get acquainted with sea lions, penguins and dolphins at Selwo Marina, or visit the Sea Life Center with an underwater tunnel. Both attractions are located a short distance up the coast at Benalmádena.

 

The majority of the family attractions are outside of the city limits, so it is wise to get on friendly terms with a family taxi company that can equip their taxis with child safety seats like a booster seat or a baby seat to accommodate your kids in safety and comfort.
